Our process includes first identfying the material, then performing a fiber ID test, a color migration test (bleeding), shrinkage tests, and manufacturer bleeding ID number tests with a full inspection. There are three different techniques we use to rectify your pet odor situation, depending on what we feel has the highest chance of success, but they all have several things in common.
- We apply a urine stain remover and high breed enzyme.
- We hot water extract the infected area at 230 degrees (boiling water is 212 degrees).

In most cases those three steps resolve the issue. However, if the stain is deeper we can take additional steps to resolve the problem.

 

 

 

Carpet Repair

 

In the rare circumstance a stain can’t be cleaned from a carpet, the next best solution is a carpet repair. Carpet repairs are also good in situations where the carpet has been physically damaged, such as a pulled row, a cigarette/ fireplace burn, or a bleach spot. Carpet repairs may also be needed in pet odor situations where a pet’s fluids have soaked through to the carpet pad below the surface.

A carpet re-stretch is also considered a repair, and this is when a carpet’s coverage over time has expanded and caused wrinkles. Many carpet cleaning companies (small and large) subcontract carpet corrections out to others that have more expertise than themselves – H.I.S. Carpet Cleaning is not one of those as we are experts in carpet repair and do them all ourselves.
